LINUX Sound Information for CS Machines

All student office LINUX and Dell Optiplex machines should now have a sound card, speakers, and a CDROM. The sound file player command recommended varies with your desktop environment:

In LINUX, audio CDs are playable as well. KDE and Debian have several different players you can use. Under KDE you can use kscd. Other windowing systems have their own players.
