Dr. Salinas Monroy received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Mississippi State University, MS in 2015, and the B.S. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Jackson State University, MS in 2010. Since Fall 2015, he has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Wichita State University, KS.

Research Interests

Dr. Salinas leads the Cyber-Physical System Security Lab (CPSSL) at WSU. His primary research interests include: privacy and security; cyberphysical systems (e.g., smart grids); big data; bioinformatics; cloud computing; social networks.

  • 6/24/2017 Dr. Salinas Monroy has been invited to participate as technical program committee member for the Social Networks and Big Data Symposium of IEEE/CIC ICCC 2017.

  • 6/1/2017 Our paper “Secure Cloud Computing for Pairwise Sequence Alignment” has been accepted to the ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Health Informatics (BCB) 2017. Dr. Salinas Monroy will deliver a talk describing the paper's proposed algorithm.

  • 4/21/2017 Dr. Salinas Monroy has been invited to participate as technical program committee member for INFOCOM 2018.
