Title ======= A Study of Wireless Application Protocol Major Goals ============= This research paper will study Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), which is a protocol that has set the standard for information services on wireless devices, such as PDA, mobile phones, etc. The WAP standard is based on earlier Internet standards, such as HTML, XML, and TCP/IP, which provide the basis for specifiactions such as WML language, WMLScript, and the Wireless Telephony Application Interface. Each specification will be discussed in detailed. Also, a comparison to i-Mode, current deployment tools, application examples will be illustrated.
