An overview of mobile databases

Goals:

.	Discuss characteristics of mobile/wireless clients.
.	 Discuss the challenges of data management for mobile clients.
  

Scope:

  This paper will investigate characteristics that make mobile data
management unique.  These characteristics include: Asymmetry in
communications, disconnections, Power limitation, and Security.  
These characteristics affect data dissemination, data consistency,
transactions, and database querying.
