Research Paper Name : Chandra Yarlagadda Course : CS898T Lecturer : Dr.Chang Topic Challenges of Routing in Ad-Hoc Networks 2. Major Goals a) Discuss challenges of routing in Ad-Hoc Networks b) Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of different protocols used c) Discuss which protocol is popular and why d) Discuss future Research 3. Scope: Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETS) comprises of mobile nodes that can freely and dynamically self-organize into arbitary and temporary on-the-spot network topoligies in an areas where there is no existing infrastructure ex in case of natural disaster. The paper will discuss the challenges of routing in such an environment and also compare different routing protocols. It also focuses on the challenges still faced and the areas that are being reasearched. 4.
