Topic:	Security in the Network Layer: IPSec

Major Goals:  
	- Introduce the IPSec general design
	- Take an in-depth look at the two protocols used in IPSec
	- Briefly discuss implementations of IPSec
	- Briefly discuss use of the null algorithm
        - Deployments and Applications

Scope:	Communication security is a broad topic, and can be discussed in
all different layers of the OSI model.  One of the methods for security in
the network layer is the implementation of IP Security (IPSec).  This project
will give a general discussion of IPSec in terms of its history, structure,
and implementations.  The two protocols used in IPSec, AH and ESP, will be
discussed in detail.  Finally, a brief overview of the use of the null
algorithm will be given.
