Ayodele Fakolujo CS898t - Wireless/Mobile Communications **Dr. CHANG** Semester Term Paper Proposal -------------------------------------- Security & Efficiency in Ad-Hoc Routing Protocol with emphasis on Distance Vector and Link State. -------------------------------------- -------------------------------- SCOPE: -------------------------------- An Adhoc Network is a connection of wireless systems, transfering data between themselves with no pre-existing infrastructure available. Adhoc networks are now important because of there independence of pre-existing fixed infrastructure and can be quickly deployed when needed and inexpensively too. Packets are sent from the source node to the destination passing through intermediate nodes along the way.Hence there is a need for a secure and very efficient routing protocol to keep track of when the nodes move in a network so as to keep the connection alive. So this paper focuses on the study of secure and efficient routing protocols with emphasis on Distance Vector and Link State Routing. ---------------------------------- Major Goals: ---------------------------------- 1. A study of secure and efficient Distance Vector and Link State Routing 2. Description and Analysis of DV and LS Routing 3. Comparison of secure and efficient DV and LS Routing including advantages and disadvantages ---------------------------------- References: ---------------------------------- 1. P.
