Objective: This course is designed to study software components of distributed computing systems. The communication and interconnection architecture of multiple computer systems is introduced. The design issues of distributed computing systems are discussed. The course emphasizes developping applications on various distributed computing platforms or environments.

Prerequisites: CS 540 - Operating Systems and CS 742 - Computer Communication Networks
