Course Description

Covers the fundamental principles of operating systems: process synchronization, scheduling, resource allocation, deadlocks, memory management, and file systems. Studies a specific operating system in depth. Programming assignments consist of modifications and enhancements to the operating system studied.

Prerequisites: CS 440 - Computer Organization and Architecture
