Application Procedure
Applications for graduate study are accepted all year round. Applicants whose admission procedures are completed can begin study in either the Fall semester (August), or the Spring semester (January) or the Summer semester (June). All application materials for graduate study should be sent to:

A complete application includes the following
- A completed Admission Application Form. Applicants are encouraged to apply on-line.
- Two official copies of transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate education previously obtained.
- A nonrefundable application fee of US $35 for U.S. Citizen / Permanent Resident applicants, or $50 for International applicants. Please make the check or money order payable to Wichita State University.
Applications can be evaluated for academic acceptance once the above items are received. However, for international applicants, the following additional items are also required before admission can be finalized and visa papers issued:
- A completed Official Financial Statement for Wichita State University, indicating funds available for tuition and living expenses for the first year.
- An official copy of a TOEFL score report (Test of English as a Foreign Language) less than 2 years old showing a score of 550 or higher (paper-based) or 213 or higher (computer-based). This requirement may be waived for applicants who have been enrolled in a degree program for at least 1 year at a university in a country whose official language is English.
Please note that since the Graduate School (not the CS Department) makes the final decision on applications to the M.S. Program, the CS Department will not respond to any requests for information regarding application status. Please direct any such inquiries to the Graduate School.
